The dining room already had warmth — in its timber tones, neutral palette, and natural textures. But it wasn’t the kind of warmth we desired. It felt safe and soft, but emotionally flat. I wanted the space to feel more alive. Uplifting. Comforting in a way that colour alone could unlock.
 
Happy with Peace was created to bring that energy — not through bold contrast, but through gentle, intentional light. I started with a base of deep rosy pink, giving the entire piece a sense of grounded emotion. Then came soft aqua blues, sun-washed yellows, off-whites, and blush peach tones — layered together with movement and texture. Rich sweeps of sage and deep green added weight and depth to anchor the lightness.
 
Its long, horizontal form reflects the shape of our dining table, designed to draw the eye gently across the wall without overpowering the room. Every mark was made to shift the mood subtly — to bring joy without noise, to create presence without force.
 
Now hanging in the heart of our home, this piece has become more than décor — it’s a feeling. A quiet glow. A reminder that peace and happiness can exist in the same breath.
 
This is where it shows how important a piece of artwork can be — how it can shift a space, lift a mood, and change everything.
